Did you change the counterweight? I have both the Porter Cable and the Griot's random orbital. I have had no problem with the PC. if it is not rotating the pad, you are pressing too hard. The other one I use stalls out easier than the PC. The stroke is small but it just gives you more time to "enjoy" your caring for your ride.
