I unfortunately went through this last summer on my Porsche 718 (and also had PPF, and it damaged the headlight). My overall repair bill was close to 14k. Unfortunately the driver was uninsured, so it went through my insurance. My advice is pick a great shop, and then I used a company that specializes in diminished value claims. One benefit is that this person has insurance, so they will likely cover the PPF fully (I had a limit of 2k on my own policy) and then i filed a diminished value claim on my vehicle (I received ~7k in diminished value). You’ll need to do some negotiating for the DV claim though. The DV company i used charged ~500 to do their assessment (which is done after your shop does their tear down) but usually your shop will know the DV people well and have someone they work with.
