Ive found that paying no attention to it has the same result as fawning over it.
One time someone cleaned my steering wheel with alcohol which totally dry peeled it. . . Otherwise just wipe over with leather care when youre conditioning seats etc, nothing super fancy.
Only had 1 steering wheel ever show wear and it was the one that got alcoholic.
Generally keep my cars 90k miles, have only had one until 120k. 8 cars.
