I think that it took me six to seven hours to do my car over the summer. After washing, I compounded the old painted panels, polished everything including the months old panels (bumpers, hood, roof and trunk lid) and then ceramic coated all the painted surface plus the new wheels. There should be no swirl marks including the original paint and avoid automatic car washes, they will cause swirl marks no matter what they say.
