So what if the car gets a few rock chips. When you go to sell it in 4-5 yrs, no one is going to pay materially more because it's got PPF on it. On an M2, there's a good chance to never recoup any of the money spent on PPF.
In AZ, it'll probably yellow in about 4-5 yrs and would have to come off anyway.
If it was a $150K - $200K+ car, maybe I could see it since that's a different market.

I guess it just depends on the person. I don't do it so I can sell it for more. I do it because I will fixate on every little ding, knick, and chip in my car. This gives me peace of mind at least somewhat.
