Fully agree. Spending over 10% of the car's value to wrap it in a condom seems a bit silly but the detailing industry has been very successful at pushing these products (along with the $1500 "ceramic" coating - just lol).
So what if the car gets a few rock chips. When you go to sell it in 4-5 yrs, no one is going to pay materially more because it's got PPF on it. On an M2, there's a good chance to never recoup any of the money spent on PPF.
In AZ, it'll probably yellow in about 4-5 yrs and would have to come off anyway.
If it was a $150K - $200K+ car, maybe I could see it since that's a different market.
