You should be able to clean your wheels with car soap most of the time. I fill my wheel bucket with soap and use a microfiber wheel mitt for the face and brush intricate areas. Having them coated should be even better. The Iron cleaner doesn't need to be used every time, it's really more for embedded brake dust that you don't regularly maintain. You can still 100% use it just a bit of waste IMO.

For some reason a lot of people believe they need Sonax wheel cleaner every wash. As long as you aren’t letting that brake dust sit on the wheels for months and months at a time car soap, proper brushes, and effort (I know you have to work for it wahhh) will get the wheels clean.
