Whatever you do, do not coat the inside of the wheels.
I ceramic coated the inside of the barrels, now wheel weights will not stick to the surface when the brakes heat up the wheels on track. The weights fly off and damage the wheel, brakes and other cars behind me. I have had to use duct tape over the wheel weights to keep them on the wheel.
