Just out of curiosity, did you use a rotary buffer or a dual action polisher and what type? I buffed with a Milwaukee rotary buffer most of those years, fantastic. I have an identical one and still much prefer it. I use my Meguire's MT300 dual action for light duty stuff but don't really care for it. Dual action polishers do have there place though.

What polish and wax did you use?

Used clay bar, and yes dropping is very frustrating!

Used DAS6 Pro dual action machine with Chemical Guys pads.

Meguiars Ultimate Compound and Bilt Hamber Hydra Wax.
