As a parent, and someone who struggles with a parent who thinks “the ball is in my court”, I agree 100% with you.
As a father, I can never say “the ball is in my son’s court”. Ever.
Not trying to be judgemental as I don’t have a 40 year old son so I have no idea. But ideally reaching out as a parent regardless of differences in political aspirations or ideas is what love is all about.
