Sorry to hijack this a bit, but what do you guys use the connected drive for? I had it phased out of my older car years ago sadly when 2G was disposed of, but I only ever used it to send an address from google maps to the car's navigation. Obviously, the SOS and whatever other BMW Assist functions would be lost, too.
When 2G sunsetted though, BMW gave those of us with time still left on our supposed BMW Assist subscriptions to either get a free upgrade of the equipment to 3G (at the time) so it would still work, I think $250 (or more) in credit to use towards BMW parts/accessories, or $150 or $250 in cash. I wonder if they might do the same here?
