Honestly it's just hard for me to imagine this scenario, lol. If I actually knew that my subordinates didn't respect me I would seriously look in the mirror and try to understand why. If they didn't respect me and it felt as though because of the amount of money I was making, I'd probably try to right the ship somehow. Perhaps show that I'm a charitable or caring person. You see, your question is very basic but didn't necessarily carve out rules so my feeling is I can work my way around the alleged issue so that I wouldn't be a "permanent" prick that no one respected.
Ultimately, my original answer still stands I think.
