The 35i with a JB4 just zooms. I never even considered (or drove) the 28i, coming from a manual 4 cyl that just hesitated, I wanted the power to be there from GO. I had a 2016 28i as a loaner when I was having maintenance done, and I didn't regret my choice at all.
