As a X1 3.0T owner I would not look down upon the 2.0T at all. BMW under rates it and the 3.0 while being silky smooth is not so great with the fuel: one must drive it in boring mode to get 25-26 HWY

I would not buy a 2.0T new: I think the price of it is just a bit obnoxious in principle but BMW is a profit machine. On the used market which is how I tend to consume our cars (Got the X1 with 24K on the clock for a nice discount) if its outfitted how you like it its a good vehicle with plenty of oomph.

Part of my reason for looking only for the 3.0T was a bit illogical: as a car guy I6's are a dying breed and I really wanted that under the hood compared to a I-4 that has no personality. Illogical in that it makes less fiscal sense but the heart wants what the heart wants
