Unless you're forgetting some options (which I don't think you are based on leatherette) the real MSRP of that car is $38,075. The invoice price is $35,570 including destination and handling, MACO fee, and training service fee.

I would not pay more than $36,070 for that car. You can get these for $500 over invoice all day long.

They are raping you on the lease as well. Aside from the fact that you should never, never, never put money down on a lease, assuming $36070 capitalized cost with 6% tax, base money factor of .00127 and a 57% residual, you should be at $500 even per month with no down payment.

Negotiate up from invoice price, not down from MSRP.

www.bmwconfig.com is your friend for finding out the true invoice cost of your car.
What part of the country are you located in? That influences things.

I just went through negotiations in socal on a similar car (ordered it, just north of $40K msrp). Quoted residual was lower than that iirc (15K/yr lease). I think the money factor was the same. Also, tax here is 9.5% (actually may be at 10% due to a new excise tax) so out of pocket ends up being a chunk of change.

Mine should show up early next month, maybe incentives will get better but I'm looking at $2K out of pocket and a little over $500/mo lease.
