Ah the Ketogenic diet. This can prove very effective if one sticks to it. Its very difficult to stick to at first though... especially if someone isn't used to dieting.
I would suggest cutting out the crap first, sugar, bread, etc, while focusing on creating a caloric deficit (although not too large), then moving on to a ketogenic diet to assist in melting away the fat.
