Hurricane Sandy's Effect on Delivery
Has anyone been affected, or been told by their SA that Sandy delayed their car?
My SA said his system's timeline said my car was supposed to arrive last Friday, and still no car at the dealer yet. ![]() |

Ours shipped on K-Line vessel Florida Highway which was due into Brunswick on Oct.31, but was delayed due to Sandy. Ship arrived off the Jersey coast the weekend before the storm and rode out the storm at sea, and made it's stops at Baltimore and Brunswick 3 days later than scheduled.
X1 got to dealer Nov.9 with no transit/storm damage. Spoke with dealership GM who said they had 5 incoming vehicles delayed. I guess that there were some other ships that also had to delay their port arrival for a few days to avoid damage by being docked during the storm. I do wonder if any cars unloaded on the docks at Baltimore or New Jersey just before the storm were damaged by storm surge. Last edited by Irish-Texan; 11-15-2012 at 11:39 AM. |

My car was delayed due to Sandy also. It was supposed to arrive in NY 10/31 instead arrived in Baltimore 11/5. My SA showed me in his computer that it was supposed to arrive on Friday 11/9. I'm currently still waiting and now my SA tells me he doesn't know when it will arrive. Hopefully soon. I've only been waiting 7 weeks since I ordered but i'm losing my patience.
