Full of shift - XBimmers

I rarely if ever let a car drive in auto, I like to choose the gears and make full use of the paddles (also like the option to shift with the auto stick) .

Any other shifty types who have driven both the 6 and 8 speed and feel one is better the other for manual mode driving?

The 8 speed shifts quicker but you have to pay more attention to it. I leave it in sport if I'm carving up a canyon, the car does a great job sorting it out.
