They actually make that baby blue? That looks horrible.

Graphite Blue is no more available, baby blue never was (might have been foiled or repainted)!

Yeah, Baby Blue is a wrap they did in the UK, i believe for the closing ceremonies at the olympics. Not a big fan.

There was a "Steel Blue", grayish blue color in older e39 model.

Midnight blue is certainly a surprise stunner.

Midnight Blue is my favorite BMW color. You have to see it in person. It's a true blue, not purplish, or a look at me blue, it's just right. Think Three Little Bears.

It's not the aqua blue that the BMW website makes it appear like.

I wish they made it for the M-Line.

What's interesting to me is how color perceptions have changed. What I would call the "Midnight Blue" is indigo, and before you post you said "not purplish", real indigo isn't purplish. It's the dye used for Levi's jeans.
What people considered blue a century ago is what we call azure now.
There's also a shift towards considering orange to be yellow. Yellow light and yellow cab? No, the traffic light is amber and the cab is orange like an orange, not yellow like a lemon.

That said, I looked at (and drove) a midnight blue model at the dealer, but found the color shifting too distracting. Depending on the light, it changed color between teal and dark blue. I prefer the Le Mans and Deep Sea blues because they're just blue, no shifts. So my observations clearly differ from yours, and that's okay

Color preference may be the most subjective topic in this forum. It's analagous to discussing music- people have their opinions on what they like.

I do think it's important to see the car in person before investing $45,000 in a new purchase. Pics on the internet usually aren't accurate.

Is midnight blue still an option in the US? I don't see it on bmwusa.com any longer, only le mans and deep sea blue.

I just checked and Midnight Blue is still a color choice, but not for M Line, it seems....

Ok, I see it now. The swatch looked green on my monitor so I didn't even check it. I expected it to be deep navy like the old Orient Blue.
