What options did you get on the car? They discounted the car $1000 off MSRP? Did you also do the BMW Drive app; that allows $300 off first payment? And you are using the BMW Financial $750 rebate correct?

With no trade in, and as heavily optioned as it looks, it may be spot on.

Just looked at your numbers on BMW's financial services page, looks right.

50k build: 1k off (2%) I'd say sucks but it is brand new here so I'd counter 2k off or wait 3-6 months more.

Agreed, but what are the options? Fully loaded msrp sounds right. More than I would pay but the numbers add up.

$49k MSRP is uber loaded and yeah those numbers add up about right. $1000 off MSRP is pretty good compared to here in Seattle.

You should be glad that I pay 50k here in canada for a 2.8i with no nav or backup camera.
Yet I don't have the seat back pocket nor rear center armrest!!!

What the h@## are all those fees? 6% Service Tax, 6% finance tax, $599 for docs, all this on top of Sales tax???? Obviously the service and finance taxes are not based on the sale price. Is it because you're leasing it? Is this typical for a Florida transaction or is it a BMW transaction thing?

Well, I was told mine should be here Wednesday or Thursday and Ill start the Nagging then about the price. I test drove a basic/striped 128 today and was impress as it drove better that I had thought it would. I will say it felt a little powerless but Im driving an x6 and comparing between the two is a big difference. I had 2nd thoughts about ordering the larger 35i and now I'm kinda glad I did. The steering was real good as well as I was thinking it would have been stiff from the reviews I have read. Any one want a x6 I have one for 50k no more and no less.. 35k miles

Isn't that the truth. Apparently the market for the X1 here in the Great Northwest is keeping the price at MSRP.

Fees look way inflated. Ask for a more detailed breakdown. My dealer gave me a full "Dealer Disclosure" sheet that had everything itemized for the lease. Dense page of text with two columns completely full of information.

Look for hidden costs like:
  • Acquisition Fee Profit (dealer markup on lease acquisition)
  • Option Price - some automatically include theft prevention device for $239
  • Backloaded Fees for Doc/Reg/Inspection/Title - should be able to pay these up front, but can include in the monthly at your discretion, costs you slightly more over time.
  • Amount of Doc Fee (varies by region, but yours seems high)
Depending on your negotiation skills, you should be able to wiggle on some or all of these points. Alternatively, ask them to wiggle on the MSRP discount since they're gouging you for the hidden costs above. Lots of other useful information contained in lease threads on this site and Bimmerfest.
