That's no guarantee, as I can attest to. The dealer put in X7A, and I can see it on the original order, but once it hit production, allegedly someone changed it to match the VIN, and it arrived without paddles.

That is incorrect or we're talking about the same thing. The X1 I ordered is the X1 28i with sport line option (sport) and the paddle are N/C. Either that or I'll show up and will not have them. The Vehicle Inquiry Report sure show them as N/C

I won't share the price I get as an employee but its really good and I love my X1, coming from a 535i. If any of you are in the SoCal area and need some help with your X1, I'd be glad to assist. |

Including MACO & training. As far as I know these fees are non-negotiable. |

bought mine with 1k miles
Bought my X1 35i X Line with 1k miles on it, msrp 50,020 invoice 47,170 paid 36,500, very happy i got a great deal on a great car, i love commenting on things that people say that are truly ignorant, one guy stated in this thread that pay cash for the vehicle and if you cant afford to pay cash then you cant afford the car? funny i get .9% financing on my cars and i can make a whole hell of a lot more money with the 36k or 50k in my bank then laying it out for a car that I'm going to depreciate over a period of time, if he did pay cash it is not a smart financial decision,

Are dealers more likely to give you a deal on existing stock versus ordering?
Two weeks ago, a dealer said they'd give me $500 over invoice on an ordered car but changed their tune today and said $350 under MSRP. I figure his first statement was just to get me to come back to the dealership. |

Ya, you'd think. I presumed he thought I meant to order a 2013, but perhaps he thought 2014. Hrmmm. Someone mentioned they're still doing orders for 2013's through March I believe.

I just ordered a 2013 X1 3.5 M Sport.
MSRP was $43,045 Price was $40,700 or a little less than $500 over invoice. I just told him that what I wanted to pay and not any more than that. They were fine with it. The last 3 BMW's my family has bought have been $500/over. That seems to be the going rate. |

Yup. Same in Dallas TX. But not at every dealer. The one located in rich neighborhood would not even talk to you. They have more customers than sales people. The moment you start negotiating they loose any interest in you.
Went to mid-cities dealer. And within 10 minutes got $500 over invoice. If one counts additional $180 training fee - then even less. The car was already in production. So it will get here end of February. All I can say location, location, location. |
