For those with xenon headlights

Is there a way to keep the halo rings of the X1 headlights to be on always? I don't want to turn the knob to the park light on to turn the rings on. I have the headlight switch in Auto mode now but the lights are just off when it's daytime.

How do the other BMWs do it? I keep seeing other BMW cars with just the halo rings on during daytime.

This must be a USA problem, 'cause in Canada the halos are on all the time as DRLs by default.
I gotta believe it's an easy thing for your local friendly BMW dealer to program them as DRLs.

In your car settings check the daylight running lights box. That should keep halos on during the daytime.

Note that it's key specific too. My wife's key has them on, mine has them off. It seems to pick randomly when we have both keys in the car.

Yeah, it's a driver profile setting.

Thanks!

Thank you all for the help. I think my DRL is off. That's why. Cool. Love this forum.
