Unhappy Navigation Route preview not available/ Some phone features require IPhone

I am slowly learning the tech in my new x1, Marakesh brown with oyster Nevada leather.
I am extremely disappointed with two tech issues. The first being that I can not preview the route that the guidance has selected for me. I do not totally trust Nav especially on routes that I know may be better. After reading and reading I went to the dealership and was told " Just trust the system, there is no route preview. Is this true??
Navigating through New York requires more than trust! Can this feature be added with a software update in the future if BMW is listening?

The second disappointing issue is that several needed features are not available to me because they are only Iphone compatible. Some are office related, some music related. What about the millions of auto buyers that use Android happily? Will BMW be updating our tech features to include Android like motorola phones?
Any inforamtion or support is greatly appreciated.

You can preview - I just zoom out, pan over to a particular spot I am interested in, and zoom back in. Further, there are typically several options fastest, shortest, most economical. We did all of that while traveling through Europe after pickup.

You can preview the route by having the split screen setup and when on the map push the drive controller to the left, this will popup a route preview on the left side of the screen. unfortunately you can't alter the route to another one though unless you change the route preferences.

As for the android issue i doubt it will happen since BMW has been promising it for a long time and now newer F series BMW's will be getting SIRI eyes free it looks like android is slowly being abandoned by BMW.
