Looks like the iOS app is out. Who's gonna be the N55 X1 guinea pig?
And a question: Are there CAN wires that run to this sensor? I'm curious about how this works: "Automatically detects engine type and loads appropriate mapping" |

I'm pleased with the improvement I've seen with the Sport, but between the added performance gains and the fact that I've still got quite a bit of warranty left on the car, I'm really thinking about going with something I don't have to remove & reinstall every time I take the car in. |

Is anyone else having trouble connecting to their dinan sport lately after they updated the app? Could someone do me a favor and connect to their dinan sport and give me the first 3 pairs of the mac address? I don't know if I'm even trying to connect to the right device.

Aren't MAC addresses supposed to be unique?
I connected to mine yesterday when I bought a used Dinan sport with the latest dinantronics app no problem. Have you tried rebooting your phone? |

First three pairs are the manufacturer identifier.
Tried three different devices. But I have so many bluetooth devices in my area it's hard to remember what my mac address was thus the inquiry. |

That's odd, my app instantly shows "Dinantronic Sport" in the BT device list. I didn't have to ID it through the MAC address.
How about driving your car to a remote location to reduce BT device clutter? I'll take a peek after work and let you know. FYI I'm using Android Nougat. |

Did you try moving them closer to mitigate any electro-magnetic interference? Curious where is your DinanSport located in the engine bay?
You're not in Valet mode are ya? |

Dinan is located on the fender well. I can't tell you what mode it is in, can't connect to it anyhow. We'll see what Dinan does, it was actually purchased August of 2016 now that I looked up my records. So six months out of warranty. I've sent them my receipt upon their request. I don't expect replacement since it is clearly out of warranty. I do hope they can repair/replace the unit at some sort of discounted price as I am not unreasonable. If not I'll be seeking alternate options. |

SEL Codes
Has anyone experienced any SEL codes when using this? I have the Dinantronics Sport on my '13 xDrive28i and have twice had the SEL light and error of Pressure Sensor/too much pressure (something like that on my Carly diag screen). I've really only noticed it when using the Race mode so far but was wondering if anyone else has had this error pop up.

2015 X1 35i XDrive Msport.
very interested in the Dinan Sport but have never done any mods or work of this kind. is it truly a simple plug and play operation ? Does the user have to be specifically equipped to plug the module in .. besides having a bluetooth/android device for control ? seems like a pretty simple and safe way to get more out of the already pretty spirited X1

CA version
Sounds good.
I'm in CA and it seems as if the top end performance of the Sport is disabled here ? I have to figure out how I can get a full version and have it sent to me indirectly.

So you've cracked the ecu and enabled direct flashing on the E series which no one has done? Or is the real reason that the only tune you are AVAILABLE to offer everyone is a plug and play that you guys used to say is inferior, but rather than have nothing to sell you did the one thing you've preached against since day one. Feels a lot like you guys are selling a JB4 since you can't do the usual flash tuning on the platform, and this is a marketing spin to me. Also having to hide it from the dealer? What are ANY benefits over the jb4 at this point? If anything they have years of experience with piggyback tunes and more powerful options. The Dinan piggyback isn't legal in CA, hide it from your dealer etc... seems like a huge case of foot in mouth where all the constant drawbacks you guys have been mentioning to sell your products, now apply to your products. Are they suddenly better because it is from Dinan? |
