Information regarding high temperature days

The LUX H8 V3 power supply has been specially designed to incorporate a temperature sensor. On very hot days the inside of the headlight compartment may reach very high temperatures, and the LUX power supply has been designed to turn off if the temperature reaches 100 degrees Celsius. This thermal cutoff is designed to protect the LUX and prevent damages to occur due to heat.

A Note on taking pictures of the LUX H8 angel eyes

To take accurate pictures of the angel eyes, please try to take the picture from 15 or more feet away from the car. Also be looking directly at the angel eyes from eye level. This will result in the best pictures of the LUX H8 angel eyes.

These can easily be installed. our website had has few install instructions for other models, but we do not have the X1 install guide yet. It should be very similar however

Update to everyone:

Due to overwhelming demand we are currently sold out of the LUX H8 V3 angel eyes. We have LOTS of parts on order and expect to get them in stock within the next week or so. We will continue to take pre-orders and they will get mailed out as soon as they have been completed. As of now we have an expected shipping of 7-8-11. We are extremely sorry for the delay and will be working as hard as possible to get all the lights made as soon as possible.

Here are a few new pictures of the LUX H8 V3 Grey edition!! The grey edition is the same brightness and same features as the black and silver edition. They Grey edition fit all the same models but will also now fit the X5M, X6, X6M, E60 LCI and the E89 Z4.

I installed my Lux H8 bulbs today without any problems. It took me about 2 minutes per bulb. I do recommend doing the passenger side bulb first, however, as it has easier access and you can better see what you're doing. Once you've figured it all out you can more easily do the driver's side bulb which has tighter access and more limited visibility. I just followed the 35W H8 bulb replacement steps on p.222 of the User Manual, then tucked the black box into the cavity under the bulb. I'm a bit concerned that they may rattle around in there, so I might pull them out again and wrap them with some thin foam.

Thank you for your post, I wait for my X1 (last week in august), and I received my LUX h8 this week.
When I'll have my car, , I'll installe as soon as possible my LUX H8 bulbs.
I'm very happy to see the result, and happy to choice LUX for my angeleyes!
