Posting Images from Flickr

I'm sorry if this has been covered before, I've tried searching for the answer but can't seem to find it.
How do you post images from flickr into a thread on here ?

OK, I know how I do it, by copying and pasting the image details into 'Insert Image'.
But a lot of the images I see on here have the Flickr link displayed beneath the image, which enables you to go to the image on Flickr and look at the EXIF etc.
That's what I'd like to be able to do.
Thanks.

Click on the share button under your pic in Flickr (the little rightward pointing arrow) and copy the bb code for the size you want (I usually keep it to 1024 on the long side) and just paste into the forum.

Thanks for your very kind comment. It was one from a short series of images taken a few evenings ago at Bow Fiddle rock. This one shows 5 of my fellow photographers all getting their shots, or talking about it !

No problem. And I agree that it's a great photo.

Does anyone know why the quality goes down when posting on this forum?

I have. Images sometimes look "crunchy" or oversharpened when posted here. Not always, but occasionally.

Some sites automatically add sharpening, under the assumption that the average poster is putting up crap. Since most of the posters here have already optimized their images, it can oversharpen and add artifacts. Also, RGBs will show best here. I used to process everything as RGB, thinking that was "the best" (it is for printing), but for internet, RGBs is the way to go. I use RGBs as my default and will re-process as RGB if I'm going to print.
