X1 2013 Xenon Headlights (is it real?)
Hello friends,
I just watched this video on youtube It shows a 2013 X1 xenon headlights with the line light above the rings... I haven't seen this before, just the grey/plated paint above the rings. Do you have this? Can you post a pic of yours? I bought a pair of xenon headlights without that upper light and I will do an official retrofit in a couple of weeks at my dealer's. (I will post all the info later). |

They come out yellowish green in pictures, but they are WAY more cool white almost light blue tinted in person. They are also very very bright even in the daytime.

2013 Xenon is different than 2012 models as part of the LCI (fender signal lights moved to mirror, front and rear bumper change...etc). They have eyebrows and LED powered angel eyes like other 2013 BMW. 2012 models angel eyes are powered by regular bulb (yellow).
And yes, I am very jealous. |

An arm and a leg! LOL
The truth is, I just wanted to install the xenon headlights in a non-official dealer (the best non-official) and He tried installing one to try, the results was only the angel eye rings worked. So, he required the sensors, cables and most important: coding. So I went to my dealer and 'cause there is no official retrofit, they opened a case to BMW Germany. They finally received the list of all the required parts (around $2,000). Now I'm waiting one or two weeks so they can install everything. I'll make a post as soon as I get things done. BTW: I bought complete set of xenons (including burners and lights) from eBay Germany seller in "new" condition: 500 Eur |
