Can we check battery charge status in X1?
Just wondering if there's a way to check battery charge status in X1. Saw online to check voltage using the button to reset trip odometer in instrument cluster but doesn't seem it works that way in X1. Any suggestions?
Also, using the trip odometer reset button I came across where it says "01.06 SW E3.40.C1", is this the software version of the iDrive? I'm not referring to the multimedia and phone software that we can download from BMW site -> Connected Drive for users -> Software Update.

Can you advise how you check it as the one I saw in the internet had some numbers come up then you select 9 and then some 18 or sth but in my X1 I don't get such number options at all.

A multimeter. A tool used by electricians and many other trades. It can check voltage, current, resistance etc. A scan tool will also allow you to see charging voltage. The battery charge level really requires a machine to put a load on the battery itself to check to see how strong it is. Your dealer or another shop could probably do that, but at a cost. If the car starts consistently, your battery is ok.

This procedure is very well documented on many places: http://e90.wikifoundry.com/page/BC+hidden+menus http://www.1addicts.com/forums/attac...4&d=1322206971 |
