Price comparison btwn USA-Canada-Finland...
First of all, I did this comparison because today I went accidentally to bmw.ca site and I wanted to torture myself a little bit
For you, who doesn´t know where the hell Finland is, fyi, we are located in north Europe, between Sweden and Russia (OK there is a small sea between us and Sweden...). In Finland BMW sells E84 only the following versions: sDrive Finland 18i (45050 €) 20i (47294 €) 16d (39294 €) 18d (41321 €) 20d (46948 €) xDrive Finland 20i (48672 € ) 28i (58691 €) 18d (42909 €) 20d (48487 €) 25d (57487 €) I´m not actually sure if they sell 28i and 25d, because they are in the price list 2015, but they are not in the car configurator on BMW Finland site. Exchange rates 1 € = 1,358 CAD or 1 $ = 0,736 € 1 € = 1,121 USD or 1 $ = 0,891 € So for example basic xDrive 20i "costs CAD 64225$ and USD 54561$ in Finland". When we are looking this from another perspective the 28i xDrive M-Sport costs appx. CAD 50000 $ in Canada (36800 €) and USD 40 000 $ is USA (35640 €). Since I´m not able to configure xDrive 28i on BMW Finland site, I configured xDrive 20i M-Sport pretty much with same options than I did on BMW.ca and BMWusa sites on xDrive 28i M-Sport. In Finland xDrive 20i M-Sport costs with a quite same options 60 257 € = CAD 81829 $ or USD 67 548 $ SO what can we learn from this? We have the worlds most highest taxation in Finland and it sucks!! |
