Skibox without "flush" rails
Hey BMW freaks,
Please help me. I ordered my X1 20 sDrive without X-line Package because the delivery was much longer with this package. Now my dealer tells me that i will not be able to mount my skibox because there must be roof rails. Does anyone know of an option to mount "Skibox rails" on a X1 without "flush" rails? Thanks, Jesper W Denmark |

Hi
My dealer told me that the X1 has the normal, hidden mounts for roof racks if it isn't fitted with X Line rails. I would just do a search on the net and I'm fairly sure you'll find the info Our dealer didn't warn us about the xLine pack at all as we ordered an 'sDrive'

In here the roof racks are optional; you can choose the black or silver rails - with the X-Line option offering a slight discount on the silver ones.
You can install it at any time even if you didn't order it with your car - as I've seen it available in the "accessories" BMW site - should take a couple of hours to install at the dealer. |

Silver ones were 850 Euros at my local dealer I wanted to change the black ones with them since I'll also have the x-line installed at the dealer but they are a bit expensive, out of the list

Thanks
Thank you for your help.
I think i will try and find a roof rack that fits without the rails. If any of you know where to get them (they don't seem to have it at Thule.com) please let me know. Otherwise i must order them as retrofit parts later. Regards, Jesper W |

Try this - it looks like the proper feet with screws rather than needing rails http://www.roofbox.co.uk/scripts/rbvehsel4.php?emulate=roofbar&query=7775&vptype=42 3527&brand=Thule
