dealer badge?
Curious,
You see most cars these days(at least where I live) have a dealership sticker on them. Any brand, there is the dealer sticker. But the few BMW's don't. So, is it because the BMW dealers don't sticker their cars, or is it because the owners peel them off? What was your experience?

I went out of my way to make sure my dealership didn't sticker my car ... and they did it anyway. So if some BMW dealerships don't sticker, it's not universal. My guess is most owners just remove them like I did.

Most dealers will also remove the badge at the time of purchase if you ask. I wonder if a dealer has ever put their logo badge on a Welt debadged car before... Hmm...

I won't let the dealer put either stickers. license plate frames or splash guards with the vendor name on my cars.
I even refuse to accept swag (like keychain fobs) with the dealer name on it. |

If they want to rent advertising space from you, they should pay for it. If they want to sell a product that includes advertising for them, that should at the very least be asked for, and compensated for. |

My dealer has always used license plate holders that say " BMW of Columbia". They look nice so I use them on my fleet.

I'm constantly flabbergasted by the number of people who leave dealership stickers on their cars. I stipulated in my contract that there be no stickers on my car. Why on earth would I want to give them free advertising? They didn't offer to pay me a fee to rent that spot on the back of my car. And above all else, they are ugly! Would you allow the real estate company you bought your house from to leave their sign on your front lawn all year? Would you consent to wear a Walmart sticker on your jacket or pants because that's where you bought them? |

I didn't think I'd have to explain this, but as for the pants analogy... I choose to buy Levi's 501 jeans and display the little red tab, but I have no desire to tell the world where I bought them by slapping a Walmart sticker on my ass |

If someone wants to advertise for their car dealer, university, deity, politico or ISP, they should, of course, be allowed to. But it shouldn't be opt-out. |

I also refuse the purchase of vehicle with any "non-factory" added stickers, emblems, floor mats or whatever. Like the others have stated, I'm not one for free advertising on my cars. Plus, it looks really ugly.

Mine came only with the licence plate frame, however, it was ugly so I put another one from a local tuner shop. It is still advertising but at least, that one is nice. The BMW ones from the dealership are kind of fugly...

I had the dealer drive for half an hour here to come take off the dealer license plate frames that I had specifically said I did not want.

My dealer had stickers on cars on the lot. But the one I ordered did not have a sticker on it. I would have made them take it off. I also cannot stand when they put the license plate frames on every time you take your car in. I agree with whoever said they need to pay *me* if they want me to advertise for them. I plan on getting some generic BMW plate frames to avoid them putting those on in the future.

When I bought my 135 vert the dealer included the all season mats and trunk liner for free. I allowed them to put a license plate holder on. I thought it a fair trade.
