Motiation needed
I've had a Burger module for about three months, and I've run out of excuses, not to install it this weekend. If anybody has a JB4, and DIY'd the install, are there any surprises, or extra parts needed? TIA, Dave.

http://www.burgertuning.com/instructions/n55_stage1.pdf How have you waited so long... Map 5, after a couple of adjustment pulls on 93... That's three months of massive power gains you've been missing out on...

Ya it's pretty easy. Mostly clips and some screws. The hardest part is clipping the boost solenoid, it's in a weird spot.
It'll take you 2 minutes as opposed to 30 seconds for the other clips lol tapping into the DME is no big deal either once you open it up. Good luck man, you'll wonder why you didn't do it so long ago. |

We only get 92 here, and I only buy from Chevron, so would map 5 work for me as well?
Forgot to mention... one of the reasons for my reluctance, is my neck is fused from T2-C2, so I move like a zombie now. It's supposed to be cooler this weekend, so that, and the fact there's no visitors, should help. |

IMHO, skip map 1 all together and just run map 5.

Potentially more power than map 2, and the piece of mind that it's constantly adjusting to octane/ambient conditions/etc. so you don't get caught out by a tank of bad gas, etc.

You can run a few gallons per tank everything else being stock with the JB4 on map 1, 2 or preferably 5 (big gains). Anything more than say, 20% (so about 3 gallons), and you should add the BMS flex fuel wires, allowing you to safely run higher concentrations. Above 50%, and I think some cars will start to reach the limits of the stock fuel pumps.

Mine and my friend's N55 JB4s came with the FF wires already as part of the harness. Yours might too.
No need for a different fuel pump until you start messing with upgraded turbos. We run 4-5 gallons of E85 for a full tank of petrol and these cars absolutely rip. Just remember to set FF to 70 in the software if you got the USB data cable. If not, you probably won't be messing with E85 anyway. |

I assume everyone has already done upgraded charge pipe?
