Take one to your BMW dealership and ask if you could try it on a demo X1.

On the rim you should find detail of the of its size and definition. What you are looking for are the following, PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) Offset and Bore. The spec for the X1 is PCD : 5x120 Offset : 30 to 50 Bore : 72.6. These figures are valid for 17" to 20" rims. Now as far as I know all modern BMW's have the same PCD figure so if the rest of the spec of your alloys matches this they should fit.
