Same chain issue BMW uses the same parts. Might be worse on the diesel but it is the same issue. Happy I have an unlimited mileage warranty 😉

If you actullay read about the issue it is the plastic guide that cause the chain to stretch an then break. Same plastic guide used on n20.

May happen in 1/5000 cars. Buying an extended warranty is the big rip off.

And the chain guides are not remotely the same aside from that they are plastic
