2012 X1 Comfort Access Question
I just picked up my new 2012 X1 that came with the comfort access package. My question is around locking your vehicle from the outside and does this activate the alarm with the motion and tilt? If you lock the vehicle using the door handle (CA) does that activate the alarm or do you have to use the key fob?
Thank you |

BTW, that motion detection works. To test it, I parked with the windows open, got out, and locked the door. I took my jacket and tossed into the car through the window. The alarm activated.

Sorry to hijack but have a question..
I'm looking at a X1 and don't need everything that come with Prem. Package just the power seats with memory. With comfort access I see some of the stuff you get ( not putting key in for one ). With just the Power Seat/memory option do you still get programmed settings with each key fob or is that a Comfort Access feature? What exactly do you get with CA outside of key fob not having to be plugged in to start car? Been searching the web for hours and still not sure about what all is included. Trying to figure out if its worth the extra 3k to get package or just power seats w memory |

No remote start feature. BMW will also highly recommend not having add-on aftermarket system installed either. Even most install shops would rather not take your money because BMW is such a pain in the ass
