Maintenance schedule and coverage
Last year BMW changed the oil change maintenance interval for 2014 models to 10000 or 1 year for car produced on July 2013 or after. Have they change their stance on 2014 model made just prior to July 2013? Anyone have any luck getting their say April 2013 produced 2014 x1 oil change for 10000 miles under the free maintenance coverage?

Search the threads as this has been discussed several times. It basically comes down to your local dealer. My 2013 X1 was built in July of 2012 and purchased in August 2012 yet at the one year mark my dealer gave me an oil change with 8,500 miles. Call your dealer, give them your VIN if the don't have it and ask them. A few people were actually told no while others like myself had no issue.

Brought in my 2013 X1 to Circle BMW for oil change and asked them to re-set maintenance to 10,000 miles as per new 2014 schedules. They said no way, cant do it. Re-set it to 16,000. miles.
