I will run my stock muffler over the winter months.... or I'd sell it to you.
Ive been running an Active Auto Gen1(from a 135) sounds so mean... I'd just look for a used one and have a muffler shop make it fit, it doesn't need much to bolt right up. It drones at highway speeds and partial throttle

Is the rest of your exhaust stock? And still drones?

Oh nice. Don't see to many of these things around. That will make it easy when you decide to sell me your stock muffler!

Do you swap the DP back and forth for inspection? Or do you time it perfectly, and go in with only 1 readiness not done? Can't believe there's no rear O2 fix yet...

I have to swap the catless downpipe out and then drive cycle the car so I can pass PA inspection... its a pain in the butt! The catless makes the exhaust quite a bit louder and you can really hear the turbo. I'll do the Pure stage 2 in late winter if nothing better comes out before then... I do need help on the suspension side so we should get together

Definitely.

If you want to give it a try...PA allows one readiness monitor to be incomplete and still pass inspection. The rear O2 is normally the last monitor/test to finish, as it requires a lot of cruising and multiple starts before it will throw the light.

You can reset the ECU, drive around with a scanner plugged in (following routines similar to the published drive cycles needed to complete each test)...and when you get all but the O2 test cleared, park it at your inspection place to have tested. Less of a PITA than swapping the DP (really that much harder an AWD vs. a RWD?)

Hopefully those guys on the E90 forums (Canadian I think?) getting close to a cheap fix come through....

The evap clears and then the O2 trips the light right away. I used a tester for a while before my inspection to see if I could beat the system and pass with 1 in a not ready state, but it just doesn't work. My buddy is my inspection guy too and it's just easier to swap the cat back in and then back out and bang it out in one day.
I know Jack from Miami on the Facebook E84 forum was going to make exhausts systems soon so maybe we can get him motivated with a few buyers lined up.

Bump...

And mwtrogus, are you able to swap the DP without dropping the subframe? How long does it normally take you?

You have to drop it about 25mm to get the stock one out. No biggy, should take roughly 1.5hrs.
