Can you precise the vibration you have? Is it intense, does the car shake (drop the sun visors and watch them) Or is it more sublet, something that makes your wrists go numb on longer journeys, kind of like an electric current being passed to your body? How does it differ from the road vibration passed up to the driver?

vibration only happens at 2200-2400 rpm before and past that rpm no vibration and very smooth.the car doesn't vibrate its just the steering vibrates as if the engine was struggling.its not speed dependent but rpm dependent.it happens on lower gears as well.

Took my car to the bmw garage.technician drove it and confirmed steering wheel vibration at past 2000rpm.book it in later they rang me that there is a fault with the fuel line. Not sure if its the pump. They said they have to order a specially modified part.Does this mean that its a common problem since they have a modified part?Hopefully this will cure the problem.fingers cross

had the car back after nearly 2 weeks in the dealership.unfortunately the modified part isnt available for my car.so they say.so they said they fitted a new fuel line instead and changed the clip or something.test drove it.Its still there.annoying thing is,at idle i think the steering vibrates more the before,so have constant minute/fine vibration even on city driving, which is like what X1BLUE have experienced, like a current passing thru your hand which make the back of my hand numb.Im taking it back to the dealership tomorrow.
will report.

Losing power = losing turbo charger, your X1 becomes like having a 2 liter NA engine.
Also explains why the vibration is rev dependent.
has the dealership looked at the turbo charger yet?

If you have vibration within a narrow speed range (as you say, 100-120 for example), it is MOST likely wheel balance (unless you car pulls to hard to a side while braking, or if the wheel shakes when turning one direction).

So; if you feel it in your hands--it's probably one of your front wheels or both that need balancing. If you feel it in your butt, it's probably the rears. Many tire shops have difficulties getting the balance perfect and runflats only make this more difficult. Keep pushing your local shop until it's 100%.

RPM-based vibrations is another story. If it's occurring around 3000rpm I'd think maybe that has something to do with VANOS but is either way very serious.
