Traction control flashing while turning

This is a 2013 X1 3.5. I've noticed that when I try to accelerate hard from rolling and turning, I occasionally get the traction control light to flash, and power is reduced significantly. The thing is that this is on dry pavement, and I'm feeling no tire slip whatsoever.

Am I being a hypochondriac, or is this something I should look into?

Well...sounds like the car thinks there is a loss of traction. If it doesn't feel quite right to you, then perhaps there is a faulty sensor or something. Worth a trip to the dealer if it is bugging you! I have yet to see the traction light come on during any of my "spirited" driving outings.

Which tires have you got? If A/S, this is normal. Hold the DSC button for ten seconds to fully disable and see if you are getting tire slip in similar situations.

Even if you have summer tires and it's 40 f or colder, this is normal.

Just about any cat with traction control will do this. If the steering angle and throttle angle are high, the computer will anticipate wheel spin our more importantly an oversteer condition and compensate. You can turn the traction nanny slightly off (quick push) and then the DSC off by pushing and holding the traction control button for about 5 seconds

I thought DSC only kicked in if it was over steering noticeably?
I haven't been nailing it through corners much though...

Or is DSC "trigger happy" to activate itself like TC is?

I didn't read carefully enough when I quoted him, this is actually correct. I drive with one press (DTC) off. DSC is MUCH less intrusive. Only time I feel the need to turn DSC off is when I am at the track.

DTC on the other hand just ruins the car. Even with my summer tires (probably since I am tuned).

I can get my 28i to get a bit sideways on an on/off ramp with dsc on. But as soon as I lift the throttle the dsc kicks in really makes for fun (read; horrifying) time.

Thanks for all the replies. Pondering more and talking to some local people, definitely sounds like intended behavior. I just never had this on my 335, so I was surprised by "anticipated" wheel spin kicking it on. Joys of open diffs, I guess.

I would do more testing, but we keep getting snow, so I doubt that will be a legitimate test...
