Recall on Timing Chain?
Went to book the first year oil change and also found out there is a "recall" on the timing chain. Anybody heard about this one?

Yep, I've just "tried" to schedule an oil change but the dealer said I 'd have to wait until october ( first year aniversary of ownership ) or the onboard computer to tell me time has come. They welcome we for the recall instead. So I will go next week.
My concern was going thru the "hot" summer on the first oil ... I would have prefered to clean it all with a first "service appointment" but it seems I will have to wait ... Hope they know what their doing ... I know that some issues have been observed by "protegez-vous" in Quebec regarding some problems with 6 cyl. Turbo and the long period between oil change ... Anyway, I can't do anything right now about it ... Have a nice day. |
