Recall on Timing Chain?

Went to book the first year oil change and also found out there is a "recall" on the timing chain. Anybody heard about this one?

Yep, I've just "tried" to schedule an oil change but the dealer said I 'd have to wait until october ( first year aniversary of ownership ) or the onboard computer to tell me time has come. They welcome we for the recall instead. So I will go next week.

My concern was going thru the "hot" summer on the first oil ... I would have prefered to clean it all with a first "service appointment" but it seems I will have to wait ...

Hope they know what their doing ... I know that some issues have been observed by "protegez-vous" in Quebec regarding some problems with 6 cyl. Turbo and the long period between oil change ...

Anyway, I can't do anything right now about it ...

Have a nice day.

You can always pay for the oil change if you want one early. They just won't cover the cost before the first year is up......

I've already had it done, and I can't tell any difference.
