Why would a dealer offer $1000 over invoice on a lot car, but $500 over on order?
I'm a bit confused here....
Dealer has a 35i xdrive on the lot that I am sort of interested in. It doesn't have paddle shifters or a lot of other options I want, but it's a nice car. They won't go below $1000 over invoice. But they offered to order me one for $500 above invoice. Any idea why this is the case? |

They already own the car on the lot, and can wait for a buyer to pay them what they want. Ordering a car is just really a service fee, so they can stand to make less profit.
