Serious challenge for BMW technicians

I have a 2010 BMW X1 23D xDrive.

There is a howling sound from the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning system) BUT only when I brake or decelerate.

As soon as I accelerate again, it disappears completely.

It also disappears completely if I turn off the fan, so it is not the brakes.

No one can figure it out - be the first please 👍

Hi
Rusty fan. You can try taking it out and lubricating it with graphite grease. You can also try from the cabin filter side.
