Sdrive have a trans drain plug ? I burn 1 qt 1,500miles

2015 bmw x1 e84 Sdrive 28i

Does it have a transmission drain plug? ive heard Xdrive has it but 50/50 for Sdrive i have to get a replacement pan? (I dont care to change the filter )

Also, im running 5w-30 oil and it burns 1qt every 1,500 miles is that normal? I'm thinking of 5w-40 to slow it down im aware its normal to burn oil but i dont want my cats to clogging years later

I have 138k miles and there is no engine oil burn. Do you see smoke in the exhaust? My guess is that you have an oil leak.

All X1 e84 with a transmission (the thingy that changes gears as you drive) has a transmission pan and an associated plug. They differ based on whether you have the ZF 6 or ZF 8 speed.

Burning that amount of oil is not normal for modern BMW engines especially in that short amount of mileage. Get it checked.
