How to save Efficient Mode

I'm generally quite happy about my new X1 plugin hybrid, particularly for its high efficiency. The problem is that i cannot start the car in Efficient Mode, but I have to choose it everytime from the display or voice control. Anybody found a workaround for that?

Another very weird and useless "feature" is that you can specify the "Personal Mode" at startup, but this mode is "empty" and you cannot choose any particular option to make it meaningful. Anybody noticed this?

BMW should definitely allow the "Efficient Mode" to be used at startup

Just have it coded. It's possible to code it, so the car always starts in the same driving mode as the last time.
