Request for help from E84 Xdrive 28i M-sport owners

Send me your codes!

This time I'm hunting the elusive "performance control" programming. With any luck I'll be able to activate the 20/80 front/rear torque split on non-M models.

I am also interested to figure this out, because I'd like to keep the 20/80 split while deactivating the active differential braking and the corner braking part of the performance control.

I have an m-sport, is there any particular things you want to see from my car?

VO list and XDSC module would probably be a good start. Also the full FSW_PSW would give me a lot to compare.

I'll see what I can come up with, but there might be some things I don't want to change based on differences between our engines and transmissions. Can't hurt to take a look, though!

I was poking around in mine today and found a bunch of promising parameters. Including...

Diff_Lock
AX_Diff_Lock
e84_AX_Diff_Lock

These are all aktiv on my car.

Then there are various parameters like

c0_diff_lock
wert_00

Some of these are set to wert_00 and some are set to wert_02

My guess is that the aktiv and neicht_aktiv ones are the "master" settings while the wert ones are perhaps intensity levels or conditional settings.

I will pull what I can and send it to you.

I also have access to an AWD dyno that gives a readout of front/rear torque split that we can use to confirm changes.

Thoughts?

Diff_Lock
AX_Diff_Lock
e84_AX_Diff_Lock

All are aktiv for me, too. And only one shows up in a module: E84_AX_REF_DIFF_LOCK in XDSC. The other two maybe can't be changed unless you take something out of the VO.

Looking forward to checking your files. Any differences I find will certainly be interesting.

Oh, and here's a trick I've been using to make searching easier: copy your various module files into a new folder and change the extensions to ".txt". This will tell Windows to index the contents of those files and make them all searchable from the folder level.

I have successfully coded off the e-diff as well as the performance control option with the help of Alex @ Alpine.

He specifically coded out the e-diff, performance control, and "brake disc temp too high, reduced power via DSC command."

The car behaved flawlessly at mid ohio and I recommend everyone do this that has a mechanical LSD installed.

Fantastic! Will you be able to share the codes here?

Hi improvious - I figured out that the performance control option is called:

E84_FDB

If you code this to aktiv, it will activate what you are looking for.

If you want to disable the e-diff, code out E84_AX_REF_Diff_Lock in your XDSC module.

Here is the trc file from my DSC, ignore that e84_ax_ref_diff_lock is set to aktiv...I was testing to make sure I could change it back and forth
