Question Help about wheel rim

Hi all,
I've ordered my X1 M with 17" rim. Do you think that i must change for 18" ? (I take the 17" because i want more comfort. Now i'm driving a Mini Cooper with sport suspension and it's a bit hard for me )
Thank you for your opinion

Very subjective matter.
I have 17 rims and they are just fine.

I have a wee Mini Cooper as well and like you find it quite hard. Very nice little car but my X1 on 17" rims is more comfortable.

I've chosen 17" on my MSports for the same reason. The rear 18" MSport rims give you a 3cm wider tyre if I remember correctly. Same width tyres for the front. I think losing a bit of comfort might give it a broader looking (muscular?) appearance with the extra 3cm of tyre at the rear. You end up with 2 different size tyres front to back. Might restrict future tyre brand choices?? Hard to know?

Depends if it'd give you a bigger smile when you walk up to your car if it had the 18" rims and whether a bit less comfort would take away the smile.

i bought mine with the 17 inch as well.....i tried both when i was considering what to buy and the 17 inch was slightly more comfortable.

The 18 inch you could feel every bump (however its not really that bad)...but they do look better....

IMO, an 18" would give your X1 a 100% visual improvement at the cost of at worst 15% harder ride, my X1 has 18 inch blade style wheels and my 21 months old toddler sleeps beautifully in the car everytime.

The biggest problem with the 18s is actually the extra care needed in parking, curbing these wheels will burn a big hole in your wallet!

Stay on 17''. I was on the same boat like you few months ago and had a big delimma..

I finally stayed on 17'' and have placed wheel spacers for the muscular look. I did gave me big improvement on the look and a very slight change on driving feeling for the best (I feel it more stable and wider).

2cm MOMO spacer on the rear, 1.5cm on front = huge improvement on look, believe me!

It's pot hole season in T.O.

Also getting 5cm of snow today, just when we all thought we were done.

Ouch. Now THAT is a morale killer...
In Ottawa, I remember Spring in early March, temperature around 15c, first drive to work wearing just a suit and windows rolled down on Wellington St.
I had all but stowed away my overshoes.

Then a fg snow storm on.... 23 April !

You'll be a lot happier with the 17's. Ignore the OP.

X1 M with 17" sounds ideal to me. You get bit of both worlds
