Embarrassing Automotive Secret Crushes
I have an automotive secret crush that I've kept a secret until now... I've always found the second generation Oldsmobile Aurora very attractive. Something about the proportions, the oversized fog lights, the large openings just catches my eye. Shaking my head in shame as I searched Craigslist for them, I thought to myself that I couldn't possibly be alone in having a weird automotive crush.
Anyone else out there with a weird secret car crush? Post 'em up!

YES! The Oldsmobile Aurora - love it. My buddy had one in highschool and back in the late 90s that thing felt like a rocketship as i was used to my other friend's chevy beretta.
Personally, I always liked the look of the subaru svx. But my ulitmate crush is a Nissan 300zx tt whichever gen is the 1996. I remember when I just moved to Canada and there was a red one always parked downstairs of my apartment building. Red on Black leather with t-tops. In a word - beautiful. I would walk past it on my way to and from school, and would always stop to look at it. Coming from Russia, a 10 year old me never saw a car that cool before. |

I feel like I just joined a support group; this thread already makes me feel better about some of my crushes:
My number one, odd crush was the 1992-1993 Mitsu Diamante. My neighbor had one of these and I loved it because it looked like a Japanese BMW, and it had that loud, snarling V6. I borrowed it once and was surprised at the smooth ride: |

EDIT: maybe the SVX but only because Subaru finally made a sports car then offered it exclusively in 4-spd automatic.

Probably not popular opinion....but I still crush on Subaru STi's even though I think their motors are trash. Just love me some hooligan exhaust and wings.

I wanted one until I got heavy into modification/racing....then realized what a burden having a motor that constantly ate rings/head gaskets could be...I don't have any room to talk as I built my speed3 twice though. LOL
Also crush on Nissan Maximas of the old generation....specifically because I owned one as my first MT car and this guy: |

Oh damn. This is gonna be fun!
Mine? Heh. 1984 Toyota Corolla DX liftback. Always thought it looked cool like the old AE86/5. Had one for a while thought I was so cool. Still really like it and wish I still had it as they're super weird now.

Always wanted an awd Civic, which I think was the second six speed car, after the 959.

This...but I don't consider it embarrassing. Just picked one up just like this...
The Germans could learn a thing or two about wood and leather...but the Brits could learn a thing or two about handling. But...I have been driving the Jag way more than the 1.
