auto-leveling Xenon headlights

hi,

My xenon auto-level doesn't work. doing some research on the net brings up multiple causes such as:
- vertical aim sensors (front and back)
- head light vertical aim control

both of these look allright, nothing broken or extreme rusted.
when a vertical aim sensor is broken or not working it seems that the headlight is dropping down and not going upwards, nothing happens in my case! I don't hear any noise (motor) when lights are turned on.

I suppose that there is an electronic part involved somewhere which might be the cause of this? Does someone has an idea which part it is and were it is located?

thanks,
Peter

Only thing I can suggest is look at a BMW OEM parts supplier (realoem.com if I'm not mistaken), they would have parts diagrams that would help you locate what you're looking for.

Is the engine light coming on our are you getting any errors? Maybe try an OBD scanner to read any faults?

Alternatively call the dealer and ask them to give you a suggestion.
