Unlock doors

I have tried to program the sequence of all the doors to unlock after driven and shut off the engine...still I have to use the unlock-door console button to unlock all doors. Any hints into how to program, for doors to unlock without pushing the center console button or double pull door handles?

I'd love to know this too. It's my biggest annoyance with the car.

Unlock Doors when eject key fob (turn off engine with CA)
CAS

Auto eject key after ignition off while holding Start/Stop button (Not sure if this one is needed with CA but my doors unlock immediately after turn off engine)
CAS
KOMFORT_EJECT
aktiv

TIME TO HOLD START/STOP BUTTON FOR AUTOMATICALLY EJECTING KEY [TIME_MS=DATA*50] (LINKED TO [KOMFORT_EJECT])
CAS
KOMFORT_AUS_IN_50MS
wert_03 OE =15*50=750ms

I don't remember which wert I selected to make it 0 ms, meaning not holding the start/stop button, but to shut off the engine immediately. With all these option what I achieved is:

When I'm about to park, while still holding the brake pedal I just push the start/stop button and the car shut down the engine, put itself to park, and unlock all doors.

Thanks so much! This is great to hear. I've been holding off on buying the BMWhat app to make this coding change ($49 price makes it not-quite an impulse buy), but they couldn't tell me if changing that code would work with comfort access or not. Now that I see it does, I think I'll take the plunge and buy the full app. (I already have a WiFi OBDII dongle). Not having to manually unlock the doors all the time is absolutely worth $50.

(Here is the app if anyone was wondering: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bmwhat/id467343427?mt=8 They have a version for Android too, but I believe that one uses a bluetooth dongle, whereas the iOS version uses only WiFi).

I opted in for buying the cable. It works with my phone too (Samsung Galaxy S2).

That it is the way I always shutoff the engine, but

the car will not unlock all the doors automatically, I have to do it manually by either pushing the center console button or pull door handle twice.
thanks anyway.

Aktiv, did you do the custom coding through the OBDII port that he described? You need to do that first to get the desired outcome from that sequence of actions.

Please explain your post. It looks like you are attempting to tell us that you made coding changes to your vehicle. Some of us want the outcome of what the OP is asking for - like being able to have all doors unlock when you shut off the vehicle (without having to hit the unlock button), but we don't have a tool yet to make coding changes. My question is - can all doors be made to unlock when you turn the vehicle off - WITHOUT making coding changes? i.e. with standard functionality the vehicle comes with?

Unfortunately the answer is no. Coding is required if you want the doors to unlock when the vehicle is shut off. I had it done on mine, as it was an annoyance like you said. Works great now!

Question from a newb: If one gets the wifi cable and the iPhone app, how difficult is it to learn how to do this coding?

Thanks, vince.

The phone app is very easy to use. No technical skills are required at all.

I heard (can't confirm) that when u buy a new car from the desler (maybe used one also) they can give one free coding session. Of course u can't expect for them to disable certain safety festures.

I chose the cable since i have the freedom to customise more options that are available on the phone app. Also coding with computer allows me to add non standard parameters to available options. Programing of modules, retrofitting is also possible via cable only.

To me is important to understand the process (and risks) of coding before i even have tha car. Soon I'll be adding a F-series model and now I'm getting the equipment and software i need to be able to code. Said all that a certain level of computer literacy is required.

I had my car coded and like everyone else the door locks was one of my peeves. I just added satellite radio to mine and activated it calling Sirius. Your best option as I did was Google BMW coding enter one of the forums look for someone in your area that offers the service and from the menu choose all the options that you would like to make changes on, you will greatly enhance your satisfaction index and when it comes time to turn it in, just reset everything to default. It cost me about and hour and 50 dollars.
