How to remove boot (hatch door) trims?
Any suggestions would be appreciated..
I'm planning to install some sound deadening to all the 5 doors hoping it will cut down some road noise. I noticed that the rear passenger and hatch doors have less sound deadening installed compared to front doors and I don't want to go pulling out trims without a clue I have seen BAVSound video to use as a reference to pull trims out for the front & passenger doors but couldn't find anywhere for the hatch door. Thanks..

Check out the Bavsound website-their install videos show how to remove the front door trims and the rear hatch area trim. I bet the rear door trims a re pretty similar to the fronts.

Thanks scottvh that's what I'm referring to for the rear door but hatch is bit different.
I saw 4 screws so far screwing the plastic bit to the hatch. Is that all screws there are or are there more?? After unscrewing I'm thinking rest are just clips that I should be able to just pull out?

You mean the sill cover? Yep, it's just four screws - two small ones and two larger ones at the tie-down points. Then you can just pull it up. There are metal tabs, so they'll make some loud noise when you pull it up, but nothing will break, so don't worry. You may need to pull back the weatherstripping a bit to get started.

I tried to take it off on Saturday and unscrewed those 4 screws but taking off the trim was bit tricky. It's definitely hard intact so was bit scared to try too hard and risk breaking sth so just left it

I went by the dealer yesterday to find out how to remove the headlight module so that I could install the euro switch. The service tech gave me a print out of how to do it. If you have a good relationship with your dealer, they could probably give you the print out of the rear hatch panel and trim.

It's hold by the four screws and tabs along the edge. I recommend using trim removal tools so you don't break the tabs.

Removing and Installing Trim for Tailgate
I really don't remember where I started from but hopefully the attached instructions will help.
There's something I didn't know and I can't understand well what it means: US version only Feed out tailgate lock with emergency release (3). |

I'm guessing it means there's a latch that you can pull to unlock hatch from inside - pull it so that the hatch is in unlocked position?

AU models as well have this emergency hatch release in the hatch itself. I have seen some models where the release is underneath the dash in the front like the hood release. We don't have this.
